Triangle Medical Meetings (TMM) has a long tradition of producing CME accredited programs on a variety of medical topics. The majority of TMM’s accredited offerings have been in the field of Urology. TMM partners with the Continuing Medical Education Department of Allegheny General Hospital (part of the West Penn Allegheny Health System) to produce programs which are fully accredited and in compliance with all applicable standards.
TMM also produces a wide range of “workshops”. Workshops are programs typically from two hours to two days in length and are focused on training a group of physicians to familiarize them with a certain procedure or information set. TMM currently produces workshops at numerous locations around the continental United States, and frequently uses two-way teleconferencing capabilities to reduce the need for participant travel to a central location. Workshops sometimes involve the broadcast of live procedures or surgery. Workshops also sometime include hands-on labs for participants.
TMM also produces “interest generating” seminars. Seminars such as this are typically brief and involve the introduction of a healthcare practitioner to a topic or product allowing the participant to subsequently decide whether to delve further into the arena being presented.
In the production of a meeting, TMM is typically involved with a number of facets of putting a program together. TMM consults with meeting sponsors to identify appropriate venues to hold meetings. TMM is also typically involved with the contracting and negotiation process with those venues. TMM can be involved with promotion of meetings to the intended audience to the extent that the meeting sponsor wishes us to do so. TMM handles the registration process and the process whereby meeting attendees are kept informed regarding meeting details. TMM typically handles logistics regarding meeting faculty including topic coordination, travel arrangements, honorarium compensation, etc. TMM typically provides on-site personnel at meetings and workshops to assure smooth running of the program itself and then collects feedback data from participants and supplies this information to the meeting sponsors.
